Kate’s Gallery was founded December 14, 2003. The owner Kate Peachey has been living and creating artwork in Key West since 1988.
	Kate's art gallery is an eclectic mix of painting, portraits, sculpture, furniture and pottery.“I want to show art that is fun, art that is a little off the beaten track,” says Kate, “I want every one to feel comfortable the minute you walk through the door.” When you walk through the door that is what you see, Kate’s smiling face and… a solitary woman painted on a found piece of fence post, a young Picasso painted on a 4 string guitar. There is a fish-man on driftwood and a 3- foot architectural sculpture made from cigarette packs. A fountain made of chrome bumpers in the shape of a dolphin, rows of empty frames and primed but not yet painted flower pots adorn the out side patio, a space that Kate uses for her studio “I am a prolific painter, I like to paint, I paint nearly every day, I paint on canvas or wood, but rocks sometimes inspire me, or an old door I see on the side of the street, even flower pots. The patio makes a perfect outdoor studio. Key West is great for that; 300 days of the year you can paint outside.”
